DUTIES: Oversees WPA Advocate Program
TIME: 15 -20 Hrs/Week

Job Summary

We seek a reliable and enthusiastic WPA Board Member to help us with the oversight of the WPA Advocate Program. The purpose of the Advocate Program is to broaden our audience and educate the public about WPA and its programs. In this role, you serve as the head of the WPA Advocate Program and are responsible for the recruiting, training and development of all WPA Advocates including the dissemination of information regarding WPA initiatives. You must have a professional demeanor at all times, especially when talking with operators, WPA members and the public. When necessary, you may also engage with members on social media and other online platforms to support our goals and objectives. Work with our Business Development Professional communication with businesses to generate new relationship opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of Advocate Program & training materials
  • Recruit, train and supervise Advocates
  • Maintain good communication with Advocates including moderation of Advocates Facebook Group
  • Order and distribute Advocate supplies
  • Create Advocate Regional Directors
  • Generate, share, and reply to online questions about the Advocate Program in a positive and open manner
  • Assist in the scheduling and set up of WPA events and assign WPA Advocates to attend
  • Oversee online comments and respond appropriately; forward to the marketing department as needed
  • Develop a marketing and expansion plan for operator/WPA relationships
  • Provide feedback to the board regarding Advocate’s insights and questions

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm and passion for women in poker
  • Team building and collaboration skills
  • Background in marketing, communication, management or relevant field preferred
  • Previous work experience as a promoter, influencer or another similar role
  • Solid social media presence on multiple platforms, with understanding how to maneuver them
  • Documented success in creating targeted SEO-friendly online content
  • Strong working knowledge of scheduling tools such as Zoom, Facebook, Twitter and other social media products
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Engaging, outgoing, approachable personality
